A rarity two fold... Normally when we get rain in San Diego the wind turns on shore and blows everything out, this day the wind was stiff offshore. The other rarity is Blacks this good with only seven guys out. If you look closely by the pier it's packed out with fifty plus surfers. If they only knew what they were missing.

Shortly after I took this shot I slipped in the mud at the top of the Goat Trail- snapped my camera lens off completely and almost fell to my death three hundred feet below. Surfer magazine ran this in a calendar and in the magazine which almost paid for repairing the lens.
